Earlier this month, Meddeas was recognised as International Employer of the Year 2018 by Ulster University thanks to its Language Assistant programmes in Spanish private schools. Ulster University’s First International Recognition

For the first time, global connections were included in the Ulster University’s Impact on Excellence Awards. Meddeas won the prize in this category for international partners, after providing work experience as Language Assistants in Spanish private schools to several recent graduates throughout the past years.

Meddeas offers a structured programme of work experience with two main components: teaching training through an initial workshop and a university TEFL course, on the one hand; and teaching practice in one of our partner schools in Spain, on the other. Participants receive a monthly grant, TEFL-related training (paid by the programme), and ongoing in-country support. Language Assistants gain international experience while discovering a country and learning Spanish.
